Mark the chicken

Salut!

Je sais pas si vous avez remarqué, mais dans cette saison, Mark the chicken a pris pas mal d'importance.
Il est considéré comme un candidat à part entière (cf exit interviews de Julia).

A tel point que certains fans pensent que Mark pourrait être le sole survivor de cette saison ce qui expliquerait pourquoi JEFF n'a pas "hypé" cette saison lors du Kickoff.

Ceci dit MARK est quand même un personne à part entière de cette saison.

Hahaha!!! C'est bien ce que je dis. Mark ne devrait pas être sous estimé

Interview Julia Xfinity ==> Sokolowski: (Laughs) Mark the Chicken was almost killed right before the merge. But at the merge we got all this food. He kind of became domesticated. He’d sleep in the shelter with us. He didn’t have to be on a leash anymore. Tai would call him and he’d come. So, I wanted to kill Mark because I was sick of hearing about Mark. I was over it. But, I don’t think we’d ever have the guts to do it. He was our pet.

Interview Julia Parade.com ==> In the beginning, we had the chickens on leashes. They were tied to a tree. By the time we were a little bit after the merge, Mark the Chicken became domesticated. He didn’t need to be on a leash anymore. I’m not even kidding, he slept with us in the shelter. We fed him food every day. Tai would call him and he responded to Tai. It was the most bizarre thing. He was like a dog. It was so weird. I think, honestly, anyone would have had a hard time killing Mark, because he just became part of the tribe. He came on reward with us a couple of weeks ago to eat Chinese food… he was a beast! [Laughs] He has a huge edit. I’m so impressed by Mark.

Je ne pense pas que Mark puisse gagnerai Bien que ses chances soient supérieures à celles de Joe, il a eu un edit trop invisible avant la merge et maintenant collectionne les OTTP.

Mark a une réelle chance d'aller jusqu'au FTC, surtout que le final 5 actuel n'a pas l'air de plaire à tout le monde....

Extrait Interview Jeff Probst - Entertainment Weekly :

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: First off, I have been negligent in not getting your thoughts on Mark the Chicken. How exactly are the rules of Survivor worded? Is Mark eligible to be named the Sole Survivor if he manages to not get eaten over the next eight days?
JEFF PROBST: Brilliant question! Yes, I’m surprised “Mark the Chicken” is not a bigger story. I mean, think about it — one man (Tai) has convinced a group of starving people to not eat a chicken because it’s become his friend. That’s pretty powerful. And it’s Mark Burnett. The KING of … well, everything. So yes, we amended the rules to state “If Mark the Chicken survives all 39 days, he is thereby eligible to take a spot at the final Tribal Council and plead his case.” I know this will upset some people who think we are being a bit loose with the rules but “producers’ discretion” means just that. I do think it will be easier for MTC if Tai is also in the final Tribal, because Tai can translate Chicken to English. Otherwise, I do think MTC will have an uphill battle convincing the jury that he is worthy of the million dollars and the title of Sole Survivor. But hey, that’s why they play the game. You never know.
